The North Texas Muslim Leadership Alliance has selected twelve rising leaders from across Dallas–Fort Worth for the inaugural Emerging Leaders cohort. Over the next nine months, each participant will be paired with a sitting official who will serve as a mentor.
The programme combines monthly small-group sessions on public service, campaigns and governance with time alongside mentors in council chambers, school board meetings and community settings. Participants will meet their mentors at a roundtable in November and complete the programme ahead of the 2027 municipal cycle.
Developing emerging leadership is one of the Alliance’s five commitments. The Emerging Leaders Committee will announce details of the next cohort in the spring.
