Dr. Ali Asgar H. Alibhai is a professor, historian of Islamic art, and scholar of Muslim cultural heritage.

He is the founder of MENARAH, the Middle Eastern and North African Research of Art and History Initiative, a digital research platform that uses emerging technologies to preserve cultural heritage and expand access to learning. His work spans teaching, exhibitions, documentary film, and digital education, connecting academic scholarship with broader community engagement.

Dr. Alibhai earned his PhD in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations from Harvard University. His research focuses on the art, architecture, and history of Muslim societies, particularly across North Africa and the Mediterranean, with an emphasis on the connections shaped by faith, travel, and cultural exchange.

Sabah (Saba) Khan is an educator, community organizer, and civic leader dedicated to strengthening community engagement, advocacy, and civic participation.

She is the Founding President of the Muslim Democratic Caucus North Dallas (MDCND) and currently serves as Acting President of the Collin County Young Democrats. She also serves as a Board Member and Communications Director of the American Muslim Democratic Caucus (AMDC) and is a member of Progressives Desis of Collin County.

Sabah recently joined the North Texas Muslim Leadership Alliance (NTMLA) and serves as Chair of its Government Affairs and Advocacy Committee. In this role, she brings her experience in civic engagement, coalition building, and community advocacy to help strengthen Muslim civic participation and representation across North Texas.

Her work is rooted in the belief that the strongest response to division is solidarity grounded in respect, empathy, and dignity.

Amir Omar is the Mayor of Richardson, a technology executive, and longtime civic leader in North Texas.

First elected to the Richardson City Council in 2009 and reelected in 2011, Amir returned to public office in 2025 when voters elected him Mayor of Richardson, becoming the first Muslim to serve as mayor of a Dallas-area city. At NTMLA, he leads the Political Leadership Pipeline, helping identify, mentor, and develop the next generation of Muslim civic and political leaders.

Amir earned his bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University, where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets, and an Executive MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas. He has spent more than a decade in senior leadership at HydroPoint Data Systems and has a longstanding record of civic and community involvement across North Texas.

Muhammad “Azfar” Saeed is a healthcare technology executive, longtime community leader, and civic advocate in North Texas.

He previously served as President of the Islamic Center of Frisco, one of North Texas’ largest Muslim institutions, where he led major organizational growth, community engagement, and the expansion of its campus. He also serves on the Board of the North Texas Islamic Council, helping strengthen collaboration among Muslim organizations across the region.

A computer systems engineer by training, Azfar has more than 20 years of experience in healthcare technology and consulting and currently serves as a Managing Consultant at Guidehouse. His career has focused on healthcare data, revenue cycle, enterprise systems, and technology strategy across more than 150 hospital systems.
