North Texas Muslim Voter Guide
2026 General Election | November 3, 2026. One Community. One Unified Voter Guide. One Stronger Voice.
2026 General Election
A Historic Moment of Unity for North Texas Muslims
For the 2026 general election, North Texas Muslim civic and political organizations have come together in a significant demonstration of unity, collaboration, and shared purpose.
Rather than presenting voters with multiple, potentially competing candidate slates, participating organizations have joined forces to produce one unified North Texas Muslim Voter Guide.
The North Texas Muslim Leadership Alliance (NTMLA), DFW GotoVote, Impact Action, and Voices United, alongside other participating organizations, have worked collaboratively to present a common set of candidate recommendations for Dallas, Collin, Denton, and Tarrant counties.
This effort represents more than a shared voter guide. It reflects a commitment to greater coordination, mutual respect, and a collective approach to civic engagement among Muslim organizations across North Texas.
While each organization brings its own history, priorities, and perspectives, the participating groups have chosen to emphasize their shared principles and work together toward a common objective: providing North Texas voters with a clear, coordinated resource for the 2026 election.
Different organizations. Shared principles. One unified guide.

Why This Collaboration Matters
A unified voter guide provides an opportunity to reduce confusion, strengthen coordination, and demonstrate that organizations with different perspectives can work together around common civic priorities.
Instead of navigating multiple organizational slates that may offer different recommendations, voters can now consult a single, collaboratively developed guide reflecting the participating organizations’ shared selections.
This collaboration reflects three important commitments:
- 01
Unity Through Collaboration
Bringing together independent Muslim organizations around shared civic priorities while respecting their distinct identities and perspectives.
- 02
Clarity for Voters
Presenting one coordinated slate of candidate recommendations across four North Texas counties.
- 03
Collective Accountability
Establishing common expectations for candidates regarding civil rights, religious freedom, community engagement, and public accountability.
The significance of this initiative extends beyond a single election. It demonstrates what participating Muslim organizations can accomplish through cooperation, coordination, and a willingness to find common ground.
Our process
How We Evaluate Candidates
Our candidate recommendations are informed by available public records, legislative and policy positions, past statements, community engagement, and demonstrated responsiveness to issues of importance to participating organizations.
Our evaluation considers several core principles:
- Civil Rights & Religious Freedom: Protecting constitutional rights, religious liberty, and equal treatment under the law.
- Combating Discrimination: Confronting anti-Muslim discrimination, Islamophobia, and prejudice against minority communities.
- Constitutional Protections & Due Process: Upholding civil liberties, equal protection, and the rule of law.
- Human Rights & Dignity: Respecting fundamental human rights domestically and internationally.
- Community Engagement: Encouraging meaningful dialogue, accessibility, and responsiveness to community concerns.
- Transparency & Accountability: Considering candidates’ public records, commitments, and actions.
We recognize that no candidate is perfect and that meaningful policy disagreements may exist, including with candidates featured in this guide.
Unity among participating organizations does not require unconditional agreement with every candidate.
Our 2026 recommendations reflect the choices available to voters, the current political landscape, and opportunities for constructive engagement and continued accountability.
Our Commitment Beyond Election Day
The collaboration behind this voter guide reflects a shared commitment to meaningful civic engagement that extends beyond November 3.
Participating organizations remain independent, but this initiative demonstrates the value of working together to advance common principles, promote constructive dialogue, and encourage accountability from elected officials.
Our collective recommendations for 2026 do not constitute permanent or unconditional support for any candidate.
